T3: Data Center Power and Cooling
We spend a lot of time and money in building fault tolerant servers and networks. Redundant power supplies, RAID, server load balancers, dual Internet connections, and business class switches are a few examples of how we protect our key assets. However, all this redundancy falls apart if we have poor cooling and/or lose power. The physical infrastructure is the foundation that our data and voice networks are built upon. If that physical infrastructure fails, the entire network goes down.
This seminar will help you learn how to protect your network from physical threats. The goals of this seminar are to help you understand the many technical aspects of power and cooling, what power and cooling technologies are best for particular networks, and how to best utilize and manage your current power/cooling resources. There will also be a “hands-on” portion of the seminar; we will have the APC demo truck on site.
The
“T3: Data Center Power and Cooling” training seminar will be held on Thursday, May 10th, 2007 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Pastries and juice will be provided in the morning and a light lunch will be provided after the seminar. We will also have the APC demo truck at the TNS office. This truck is loaded with the latest and greatest data center power, cooling, and physical security technologies.
This training seminar has a technical rating of 2.5 (Scaled from 1=low to 5=high).
Seating for this seminar is limited; please register early!!
