TNS VOLUNTEERS TO HELP CANDY CANE CORNER
Trusted Networks Solutions volunteers time to help Candy Cane Corner organize and distribute toys and clothing
Salt Lake City, Utah, December 15, 2010 – Trusted Network Solutions, a leading value added reseller in the network infrastructure and security markets, announced today that they had finished their first day volunteering at Candy Cane Corner. The TNS staff, joined by various other volunteers and government workers, donated their time, effort and toys to put together this event just in time for Christmas. In addition to time, TNS also donated new, unwrapped toys for the Candy Cane Corner inventory.
Candy Cane Corner is an organization that provides a service to the community that may otherwise go unfulfilled; do-gooders worked for weeks to put together what resembled a fully stocked retail store of brand new toys. However, the business was reserved for homeless families to pick freely of any of the toys and clothing – and take them home at no charge.
“We found a charity we truly wanted to donate our time and goods to,” stated Debra Larsen of Trusted Network Solutions. “Seeing the joy brought to families as they took home gifts epitomized the spirit of giving for us, which to me is the meaning of the season.” Jackie Grobstein, a Manager at TNS, agreed with Debra and added, “It was fulfilling to know that we gave back to the community and helped people have a better holiday.”
