The management philosophy is based on responsibility and mutual respect. TNS creates an environment that encourages education and achievement in order to hire, develop, and retain the best people available. Management leads by example and participates in daily operations.

Dave Norwood, President and Sales Manager
Dave Norwood is founder and President of Trusted Network Solution. TNS provides high-end computer network equipment and services to small and medium businesses. Dave leads by example which has created a company culture based on integrity and communication. This allowed TNS to become a leading network infrastructure and security value added reseller.

Dave’s career includes extensive management experience working for the largest grocery store in Wisconsin as the Assistant Store Manager and Buyer. In 1996, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin. Dave then left his successful retail career to move into the technology industry. He joined the Enterprise Networking Team of a Fortune 500 company, Northwestern Mutual.

Dave earned multiple technical certifications while working as a systems engineer. Dave has earned his Microsoft® Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE®), Certified NetWare® Engineer (CNE®), Cisco® Certified Network Associate (CCNA®), Juniper Networks® Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA®), and other industry certifications.

After five years with Northwestern Mutual, Dave relocated to Salt Lake City. Dave joined a local start-up venture as a Technical Account Executive. Dave was a key team member who helped this start-up become a successful Value Added Reseller.

Dave graduated in May of 2005 with an MBA from the David Eccles School of Business – University of Utah. Dave completed a dual focus of Entrepreneurship and Information Systems. Dave’s business and management skills, coupled with a strong technical background, have allowed him to successfully launch and grow TNS. In addition to leading the company, Dave interfaces with the community through membership with the Utah Technology Council, University of Utah Business and Technology Roundtable, and holds a seat on the Weber State University IST Advisory Board.

Jackie Grobstein, Operations Manager and Partner
Jackie has built a career on managing the operations of many companies. With over 30 years of experience in positions such as Sales Auditor, Office Manager, Corporate Secretary, and Inside Sales Manager, Jackie has the experience needed to run the operations of TNS. She owned and operated her own full-service catering company. She also has been involved with the start-up of a Value Added Reseller similar to TNS.

As the Assistant Corporate Secretary Treasurer of three companies, Jackie was responsible for compliance with NASDAQ and SEC requirements and coordinating stockholder meetings. She promoted the companies nationally as the primary contact with the brokerage community. She also managed the corporate offices establishing office procedures and policies, and she supervised the administrative personnel.

Jackie later represented fifteen manufacturers in a five state territory, designing and implementing sales programs, promotion events, and sales plans. These skills will be key for TNS as the company grows and matures. Jackie’s real world experience is complemented with an Associate Degree from LDS Business College.

Russell Lindsay, Engineering Manager and Partner
Russell is a seasoned veteran in the computer-consulting field. He has worked for numerous Value Added Resellers around the Salt Lake Valley, including a successful start-up. With over 10 years of experience as a consulting network engineer, Russell knows networks and how to work with clients. He knows how to listen to clients and he uses the gained knowledge of the problem to provide the solutions they need.

Russell started developing his technical mind at Utah State University while working on his mathematics degree. He went on to earn numerous certifications such as Microsoft® Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE®), Certified NetWare® Engineer (CNE®), Checkpoint® Certified Security Administrator (CCSA®), Cisco® Certified Network Associate (CCNA®), Foundry Networks® Certified Network Engineer (FNCNE®), NetScreen® Certified Security Associate (NCSA®), and Juniper Networks® Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-FWV®).

Russell has developed long-term relationships with his clients and has built programs to improve client service levels. His extensive engineering experience and client focus will allow Russell to successfully lead the engineering department at TNS.
